Universal Control in Clamshell

Hi Team -

I've had ongoing issues with Universal Control in clamshell mode when connected to an external monitor. When I'm at work, plugged into an external monitor via Thunderbolt, everything works fine and is instantaneous. When the laptop is open, everything is also fine and works as expected. But when I'm at home, plugged into my home monitor (either via Thunderbolt hub or directly to the monitor via Thunderbolt) the MacbookPro can't detect the iPad for Universal Control. Interestingly, sidecar still works as an external monitor. I've gone through all the troubleshooting regarding apple ID signing in/out, toggling the settings on the iPad, restarting both devices, and both are up to date on their software updates. Any thoughts?
