How to cancel app that is one free trial

I purchased a free trial unknowingly. When I saw the price of the app I knew that I'd never use it enough

for the price. How do cancel the purchase?

Cancel a free trial the same way as a paid subscription. See instructions in If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support
