There is no way to specifically identify if a pair of AirPods are new or refurbished. You can confirm if they're an official genuine product by entering the serial number here: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support
That link also does allow you to check warranty status. If the AirPods are still in warranty, it is likely they're new.
