iMac Dual Monitor setup?

I bought the iMac 2021 24 inch system. I'm trying to connect my viotek monitor and the screen will show VIOTEK, then flicker. I've checked the cables, all good! Is there something i need to do on my iMac to make it compatible?

Connecting 2nd monitor to iMac I had connected an Omen monitor to my iMac as a second screen and it was working well. I just updated to Monetary 12.5.1 and now the iMac is not recognizing the connection any longer. I'm using a Display Port to USB-C cable, which was working very well -- up until this more recent Apple update. Any suggestions how to get the second monitor connected would be appreciated!!

I purchased an Asus pro art 27 inch external monitor and I can't make it work with my macbook pro (2020) I purchased an Asus pro art 27 inch external monitor to work with my 2020 Mac Book Pro. The provided USB-C cable does nothing beyond making the monitor briefly flicker. There are 2 other cables provided by Asus but I don't know what to do with them - the printed diagrams aren't adequate for a non tech person such as myself. Do I need a hub of some sort ?

Macbook Air M2 won't connect to Dell U2421E monitor I have a new MacBook Air M2 and it will not connect to a Dell Dell U2421E monitor. I have all the connectors supplied from Dell and also a USBC adapater. Nothing will work? I have tested the same leads and connactors on an older MacBook Pro (2019) and the Monitor works fine. It is the brand new MacBook Air M2. I chose to buy the Dell monitor after reading reviews of the best monitor to use with the new Mac. Any suggestions would be great, or if I need ot send the monitor back and buy something compatible.

Without further details of how you are connecting the Viotek to your iMac I’ll just explain how I have successfully connected three different monitors (one at a time) to my M1 iMac.

I used a USB-C to VGA adapter for the oldest one.

I used a USB-C to DVI adapter for the other two.

Each time I plugged the adapter directly into the iMac USB-C port, I did not plug it into a USB hub.
