ping latency spike when Bluetooth enabled m2 MacBook air

I have a new MacBook Air M2. I have noticed that with bluetooth enabled I get 3ms ping times to my router and also spikes between 50-100ms a few times a minute.

If I disable bluetooth (wait 10 seconds to settle down) I don't get these spikes but my latency is slower around 5ms. And I of course don't want to leave bluetooth disabled.

My old MacBook 12" (intel) doesn't have this issue.

I tried disabling location services but that doesn't seem to be the issue.

Anyone notice similar issues with the new M1 or M2 series? and able to fix it? (I have seen some other threads on other sites).

At the moment I think I will leave bluetooth turned off for now. as the spikes annoy me. But it means I am getting higher latency with bluetooth off.. I know I know only a few extra ms... not much.

Thx.
