That being said, when you purchase any Apple product, it automatically comes with a 1 Year Limited Warranty (which covers manufacture defects only -- no accidental damage). You have 60 days from time of purchase to obtain AppleCare+ (for Macs is 3 years, extends Limited Warranty Coverage, and does cover accidental damage).
