Command key mistake

I would like to have 'command key' in its default status. - I have mistakenly reassigned the 'command key' on the keyboard. As I touch it now the entire screen shrinks to a postage stamp size image in the upper center. This error bludgeons any other 'double key' function requiring the 'command key'. I was too clever for my own good and do not remember why I made the mistake.

Check your settings in system preferences > keyboard > keyboard > modifier keys

Have you installed Karabiner or other key mapping modification software?
