What keyboard button do I press to reject a previous auto-correction?

When I start to "undo" an auto-correction, the initially typed word shows up with a symbol. What keyboard button do I press? Or do I need to physically click every time?!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6

you can try the Command Z this typically will undo the last command entered....


otherwise physically click.
