Understood Biomedtech,
At the time this occurs, is the car in reverse? That can trigger the volume to lower. Additionally, do you receive any notifications when you're at home or in the immediate area versus out and about, such as those related to the Home app or other location-based services?
Thanks!
Hey Biomedtech,
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth > tap on the 'i' next to your car > tap Device Type. If car stereo isn't selected, select it and test.
Hope this helps. Take care.
Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Community Biomedtech,
The following page that goes over headphones limits, may provide an explanation as to why the volume adjusts automatically when connected via Bluetooth: Use headphone audio level features on iPhone
The "Improve the accuracy of audio measurements for third-party Bluetooth headphones" offers steps to ensure your car is classified as the correct type of device.
Have you noticed similar behavior with any other devices? Knowing that may also help further isolate the behavior if you need more help.
Cheers!
I dont think this has to do with headphones. My phone can be connected via Bluetooth or cable to my car. When i leave my home and when i arrive home the volume lowers. I think it has to do with the gps or location services.
When i leave home the volume changes when im about a block away from home. And it changes again when im pulling back into my driveway
the only app i use that uses my gps is life 360.
