I am attempting to add a cox.net email address as a new account on my email on my Mac. It has not been added, but I continue to get the message that the account already exists after I type the email address and password to add it.

Thank you! That did it. We had a separate account that appeared to be a gmail account but it used the cox email address. I removed it, and now I have been able to successfully add the email account.
