Can you disable charging while using a wired Apple Carplay?

Hi,

Is it possible to disable charging while using a wired Apple Carplay?

The reason I want this is because when the car is hot, and the phone is charging and using Apple CarPlay, my phone has actually shown the Overheating indicator, and it took maybe 10 mins for it to return back to normal.

This is rather dangerous, especially if you are relying on maps for navigation.

This has happened to me twice, and this is in Santa Barbara in July, which while it can be considered a warm place, does not have scorching temperatures like in tropical countries.
