You mean, 10.15 (i.e. Catalina)? Or is it 11.5 (Big Sur)? Have you checked if the MPC .component file has been installed to "Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components" folder? Ableton might be set to use a VST plugin which may also be present in your system after you installed MPC 2.11
Hi, first of all, reboot the Mac. Also, if it's possible, you could check whether the MPC plugin opens in another DAW (if you have one installed). Which version of MPC software is it, by the way?
The VST file is not in the components folder it’s in the VST folder.
Of course it is. What I meant is that Ableton can be set to use VSTs as plugins and not AUs.
From what you describe, this plugin should work in Logic. Have you tried looking in Logic's Plug-in Manager? Tried to insert it into "Instrument" slot on a Software Instrument track?
May I also suggest to get in touch with tech support on Akaipro's website. As MPC 2.11 is a recent update, there's a good chance it may still not working smoothly on all systems. So, you should let them know what's going on.
I see, could you tell what Mac do you use (year and model) and which version of macOS it's running?
It does open in Ableton. However, I am using MPC 2.11
I use a Mac Mini 2018 running 10.5 operating system
I meant 12.5 Monterey.
Yes, the file is installed in components.
However, Ableton uses AU plugin file and it works with no issues. The VST file is not in the components folder it’s in the VST folder.
