Answering calls on watch

When I answer calls on my cellular apple watch and my iPhone12 is nearby the call automatically transfers to my phone. How do I stop this?

Hello Tricarpa,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with calls answered on your watch transferring to your iPhone. Let's start by restarting both your iPhone and Apple Watch using the steps from these links:

Also, make sure all of your devices are completely up to date as well. These links will help with updating your Apple Watch, and creating a backup and updating your iPhone:

If that doesn’t help, unpair your watch and iPhone. Then, pair them again when this is done and see if the issue is resolved:

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
