I just found out about Vocaloid, which is insanely popular in Japan among amateur songwriters, and watched a few tutorials about it on youtube. I would really enjoy having something like this on Garageband and I'm sure it would become quite popular here in the states.
So how about it, Apple? You have text-to-speech already, how about text-to-song?
I posted here in hopes of getting other users interested in the concept of a text-to-song addition to Garageband. If enough of us ask for it, maybe Apple will listen?
Besides, just look at the Vocaloid tutorials at youtube, doesn't it look like something that would fit in just terrifically with the way Garageband does things?
It's windows only, but a google search should find it for you. I've tried it on a friend's computer and while it does have some good features mostly it's clunky, unintuitive, and you have to learn a lot that really shouldn't be there. Apple could take something like this and make it as easy to use as Garageband or iMovie, then we could make our own singers as easy as we make our own instrumentals.
i really want to download vocaloid, but i'm not sure where to download it. i wish we had it instead of garageband. do you know a site or somewhere to buy it???
