Mac Stuck on Apple Logo

Hi, when I power on my mac mini I get the apple logo with the little circle spinning. It wont get past this screen. I did a fsck and it does its thing. After i try to exit single user mode I get an error..
referenced from: /sbin/SystemStarter
Reason: No suitable image found. Did find:
/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreFoundation.framework/versions/a/corefoundation: unknown
And i get about 3 other errors that are very similar but from different file paths. Ill try and get a picture up by tonight. Hopefully someone has some leadway for me. Ive done fsck, and verbose mode. Thanks in advance!

mac mini, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

The two most likely possibilities would be that your OS install is hosed, or your HDD is dying.
