Why are they not going to trash as it is advertised it is supposed to do? This seems to be a common question that nobody seems to get a straight answer on looking at past threads. I am running a Mac mini running Ventura 13.3.1. iCloud Mail is "On" and I am logged into my Apple ID. My other devices (iPhone 14 ProMax, iPad Pro (6) are also signed in to iCloud and iCloud Mail is "On". Both are running current iOS release. Spam/Junk mail is a huge issue for users that Apple should be providing robust capabilities to deal with AND Apple should be taking active measure to reduce the flood of these emails to users.

That would seem to be determined by your recipient's email settings.

If you send an email to yourself does it end up in the spam or junk folders?

Emails to ourselves are OK.

I will ask our recipients to check their settings.
