The iOS version 15.6 is thouroughly tested through beta tests.

While I cannot say that there is nothing going to happen to your phone without speculating (for example, sometimes the update will not download and you have to do it via a pc or Mac)

I can say that I am running iOS 15/6 on my iPhone without problems

I recommend that you do the update, because there are important security updates in it
