Eero6+ & HomeKit

Hi,

so I just replaced my old AirPort router setup with an eero6+ mesh system. I knew buying it that the eero6+ did not support HomeKit Secure Router, and was fine with that but I still expected HomeKit to "work".

Unfortunately I've run into some other issues with this setup.

The main issue is that if a HomePod is used as the home hub, most devices show as "No Response". This includes Hue bulbs & IKEA power outlets. However my Netamo and Logicircle cameras work fine.

If I switch to an Apple TV 4K as my home hub, then the bulbs and outlets work fine, but the cameras no longer work.

Everything is at the latest version.

I've tried restarting, removing and reading etc, but am having no joy at all.

At this stage I'm worried that I might have to remove my home and start again from scratch - which to be honest I would be ok with if I though it would work!

Anyone have any ideas?

Update: I found the problem. My Hue bridges, Tradfri bridge and Apple TV were connected to my ISP router over ethernet via a series of power lines. Whereas my HomePod and cameras were on the Eero mesh wifi. Once I ran the power lines from the Eero router, everything worked.

Obvious in hindsight, but hopefully this may save somebody the makes the same mistake some time in the future.
