Nothing has changed concerning LTE—the addition of cellular for updates has been a god-send.

I update for iPhone and macOS with a 5G capable phone 12 mini— I have no 5G, LTE only...
I am 100% cellular for all my Internet/updates/upgrades
I am sorry but I do not see an issue. Just because you references a similar post does not mean it is accurate information if that is your confusion
