My iPad will not shut down

How do I shut down my iPad? I have tried but it is not responding

iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

What is not responding? How are you trying to shut it down? Press the volume up and power button together and hold until you see the "slide to power off" screen. You can go to Settings>General>Shut Down.
