I just got a new Macbook pro M1 pro.
Within 5 weeks my battery cycle increases from 13 to 20, Even though i mostly used in plugged to AC.
Do you notice that cycle keeps increasing eventhough you rarely using battery ?

It is normal. Your Mac will cycle its battery whether or not you do that yourself.

Prior to that feature's implementation, if you were to leave your Mac connected to its power adapter all the time, the battery would fail prematurely. So, you would need to deliberately cycle its battery every once in a while, on your own. Now you don't have to do that.

A feature introduced into Big Sur & Monterey was to preserve the number of Full Battery Cycles - there was an Algorithm coded into the macOS. It is perfectly Normal for Big Sur , Monterey to Pause / Suspend charging the battery beyond 80% and hold it at that level. One can nudge / over-ride this by clicking the Battery Icon on Desktop Top Bar and allow charging beyond 80%. From observations, it will Pause / Suspend again once reading 90%. Same procedure to over-ride and will charge to 100%
