iPad 3rd generation 30 pin cable not compatible with dock Hi there! My neighbor gave me an old iPad, 3rd generation A1416. She lost the cable but I looked up the compatible cable on apple.com and purchased a replacement, a 30 pin/USB cable online. It does not fit into the dock. I fear that my neighbor may have damaged the port somehow although there is no visible damage to port. She has moved away and I have not been able to reach her. Short of buying another cable, are there steps I could take to help me discern the issue? Thanks!

The A1359 keyboard/dock, designed for use with early model iPad2 and iPad3 (featuring the 30-pin connector), is not usable with any current (or future) models of iPad.
