Good. As the iPad has not had a repair, there are many possibilities that can be excluded from consideration. If you have not done so already, perform a forced-restart of the iPad - as this will often resolve an isolated software issue:
- On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
- On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
You mention having attempted to reset TouchID. Presumably by “reset” you have actually attempted to register one or more new fingerprints with the iPad?

When doing so, did the iPad go through the normal process - requiring multiple placements of your finger, on the TouchID sensor, for each finger that your registered?
