CarPlay crashes intermittently now on 2017 Volvo XC90

CarPlay will crash intermittently bringing the entire information screen down and cuts out heat and AC. Disconnecting the USB will reboot the entire screen and things work properly. Sometimes I can reconnect the USB and it will work and sometimes will crash again. This is a new issue that is worrisome. It’s not shutting down just CarPlay but the entire screen.
