In the past two days my iPod Touch freezes up on the home page after going to sleep on its own. Nothing on the touch screen works to unlock the iPod. I then have to restore with the Home/Sleep buttons, but once restored it does the exact same thing once it goes into sleep mode on its own. At this point its completely unusable. Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
iMac,
Mac OS X (10.5.8),
iPod Touch 32GB 3rd Generation
The only thing that unlocks it is restoring it, but then once unlocked, and once it goes into sleep mode on its own, it locks up again. Hence and endless cycle of restoring / locking / restoring / locking ...
Mine has been doing the same thing for about a week now. I've restored it 3 or 4 times and nothing. I don't know if my screen is ruined or what. No one really has any answers except to go to the apple store.
Can someone help me with my ipod touch the screen is frozen and lock. When I connect with Itunes i give me a message said" ITunes could not connect to the ipod because it is locked with passcode. You must enter your password on the ipod before it can be used with itunes. I have my password just can not get pass the frozen screen to put in. HELP!!!!!!
I have the exact same problem. When I turn on the iPod, it freezes on the USB plug iTunes screen, whether plugged in or not. The computer displays a pop-up saying that it cannot connect due to a passcode on the iPod, but I cannot enter anything on the iPod. The iPod is basically a brick at this point. Totally frustrating!!!
