Apple watch Series 5
My wife's apple watch is less than 3 years old and will not take a charge... Will not power up or allow a charge... Is this typical for a Series 5 Apple watch to go bad in less than 3 years...?

Apple will evaluate it for free. That price sounds like the repair/replacement cost.
When posting in a technical support forum, it's useful if you tell people what troubleshooting steps you've already taken. It saves everyone time.
