Receiving 5GE instead of 5G

iPhone 13 getting 5GE instead of 5G. It is in a dense 5G covered area, has 5G enabled plan (and phone). Why is the phone only getting 5GE coverage when it should be getting 5G?

(note: iPhone was purchased as an upgrade from Apple store, so also uses eSIM (no SIM card)

iPhone 13, iOS 15

You can try Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings <—————————RESET

If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

or contact your carrier

ref:

Use 5G with your iPhone - Apple Support

iPhone - Supported 5G and LTE networks - Apple
