Voiceover and audio descriptions off but still continues with tap & menu controls one by one

ipad 10.2 Gen 7 is continually voicing guidance for each section , each menu choice one by one, then requiring tap, which then opens and voices sub menus, one by one, and cannot seem to get out of it. If I miss a selection the whole process starts again and near renders it useless.

managed to get Siri to activate and turn off voiceover and audio descriptions but remains unaffected.

is there a setting for forced guidance or something or is this some kind of malware or bug?

managed to update iOS but the issue persists immediately after update.

appreciate any help or input.

many thanks

Hi AnastazW,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Let's take a look at the settings. If you go to Settings > Accessibility, is VoiceOver turned off? How about Audio Descriptions? Do you have Accessibility Shortcuts set for either feature? You can confirm by going to Settings > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut.

Check out the following resources:

Hope that helps!
