recently closed tabs safari

hi, i deleted on my high sierra safari closed tabs history ..the thing is that i want to get them off from the + open new tab button when i point there before clicl..

i know there must be somewhere on my drive..i once did use a third part app to clean my other imac ,but users claim it is not that safe to enter to hard drive and clear history from inside the drive..

so is there a path on my drive to get rid the searsch history from that + button?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, macman1585,

If we understand your post correctly, you'd like to clear your search history from Safari on your Mac with macOS High Sierra. We’d like to help.

In Safari:

Choose History > Clear History, click the pop-up menu, then choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared.
