Refund through Apple pay

Hello! I used a car rental company called Turo back in June. When I paid for the service, I used Apple Pay on my phone. I believe the next day that I made that purchase, my PNC card that I had on file for Apple Pay had expired and I received a brand new card. A couple of days after that I cancelled the Turo service and requested a refund. They issued the refund on July 4th and let me know that for Apple Pay it can take up to 30 days to receive the funds. It’s been over 30 days and the funds have not returned to my account. I let them know that I was concerned that the funds did not come yet because the card I originally paid for was no longer valid and they were not able to change the payment method to issue another refund to my new card. They had said there was nothing they could do and to contact my bank and Apple to see what the issue may be.
