I followed the advice but still can't find anything by the content of the comment field. Using Music 1.0.6.10 on MacOS Catalina version 10.15.7. I have just upgraded from Mohave. Most things seem OK (if a bit different) but badly need to be able to search the comments field.

Make sure that comment field is enabled in the Songs view of the library or the playlist that you want to search, then use View > Show Filter Field and enter your search terms in the new box.

That worked just like that! Thank-you. I had tried the filter field, but that must have been before I switched on comment display in Songs view.
