My laptop doesn't sync passwords with my iPhone 7

My laptop (windows) doesn't sync with my iPhone 7+ (I think!) because whenever I make a password change on my laptop, the update doesn't get made on my iphone. Even if I cop/input the suggested password from my laptop to my iPhone. Consequently I'm all over the lace with passwords!
