(They are also not working in Edge, although they do work in Firefox). I have test this with several websites. The notifications are turned on in my settings and in Chrome they are turned on for the sites I have tested with. Chrome has recently updated so I'm not sure if this is an issue with MacBook or Chrome. As far as I can tell my settings are all correct to play sound. Is there anything I can try?
