Old Apple ID can’t be found

I have an old Apple ID I have not used in years. When I open iMessenger on my new iPad it wants me to sign in with the old Apple ID. When I click “forgot password” and I type in the old Apple ID when it asks for it, it says “No Apple ID found”. It’s preventing me from opening iMessenger with my current Apple ID. How can I get this old Apple ID off my iPad or iMessenger? Thanks

it says “No Apple ID found”.

It depends on what you did with your 'old Apple ID'. If you have deleted it, it is no longer valid, it simply no longer exists and it no longer works.

To understand about a deleted Apple ID, see the Apple articles below:

Try this -> go to Settings -> Mail -> Accounts -> scroll & tap that old email address you want to delete -> scroll down & tap Delete account.
