Keynote

Keynote will not save and keeps asking for permissions which I set up. It also now unexpectedly quits in safe mode. I am using Monterey 12.5

iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021, 2 ports)

Hello bennett9188,

This page here can help to cover the permissions settings for a presentation, if this one being shared with others: Change a shared presentation’s settings in Keynote on Mac - Apple Support

If it's not a shared presentation, but the permissions issue is for the macOS side of things, then this page can help instead: Change permissions for files, folders, or disks on Mac - Apple Support

1. On your Mac, select a folder or disk, then choose File > Get Info.
If the lock at the bottom right is locked , click it to unlock the Get Info options, then enter an administrator name and password.
2. Click the Action pop-up menu , then choose “Apply to enclosed items.”

It can also help to see if the same issues with being unable to save, as well as the app unexpectedly quitting, happen in a new Admin user account on the Mac. This helps to rule out items in the existing user account from being the conflict. If needed, this page can help to set that up: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Apple Support

Cheers.
