Icons missing from home page??

Icons missing from home page??

I have had my Ipad only one week and my teenagers have screwed it up...YouTube, iTunes and the apps icon have just vanished....anyone familiar how to get them back?

You can't delete those, they are on a screen somewhere.
Have you done a spotlight search for them?

Well I kinda wondered if they could be deleted at all, as stupid as it makes me sound I cannot figure out how to do a spotlight search on the iPad...care too elaborate?

Flick to the left hand screen (the one left of the home screen) and you'll see spotlight search.

Wow! I had not even noticed I could do that...thanks, unfortunately it didn't find my icons...it only pulled up the numerous searches that I have done trying to troubleshoot my issue. Any other ideas? I guess I should just call apple 😟

Have you tried flicking the homescreen in the other direction? Maybe the apps are on a second (third, ...) screen now. You should see some small dots just above the dock when you have more than one screen.

Another place to look is in Settings. Did they turn on the parental controls to make those apps "disappear"?

Ok, yes I have been to this location before and when I touch on restrictions a black "enter passcode" box appears and to my knowledge no passcode was ever set by me...I tried a couple of entries just for fun and now it says I have 2 failed passcode attempts 😟

If I ever get this fixed I may strangle both kids and never let them use this pad again!

I just schedule a phone call from a Apple Expert for tonight at 8pm, I will let you all know what the resolution is later. Thanks for all your help!

Haha… only strangle one, this will teach the other one a lesson 🙂 🙂

You can always restore the iPad, then make sure you set all the security features your self - so you won't have any troubles in the future and you wont hurt your self by strangling those brats.
