Apple Watch 7 California Color Customization
I have the Watch 7 using the California face. On the Watch app on my iPhone, there are many color options displayed to customize the face, and you can add more. The problem is, some colors change the entire face, and other colors change the colors of the numbers. And the colors that only change the numbers can't seem to be used to change the color of the face background.
For example, if I choose "Blue Fog", which I want for the background, the background goes to black and the numbers go to "Blue Fog". Conversely, if he background is white, and I choose "Watermelon" which I want for the numerals, the background becomes watermelon, and the numerals become some shade of yellow.
My guess is that the app is trying to enforce a certain amount of contrast between the background and the numerals. There are two problems here:
- I know what I want better than the app does
- There's no way to tell which colors are background-only and which are numerals only. There's a vertical bar separating two sets of colors, and maybe numeral colors are on one side and background on the other. If true, adding colors to the list scrambles all that.
Barring being able to choose whichever colors I want, is there any list of valid background/numeral colors? Otherwise it's hit or miss and maddening picking colors for background and numerals and being surprised that the app doesn't like that and gives me something almost totally, but not completely, different from what I want.
