In-App purchases on managed device

So if I'm understanding correctly, a managed Apple ID cannot make In-App purchases and VPP apps are also not able to make an In-App purchase. So how on earth am I supposed to upgrade an app on an Intune managed device to the ad-free version if its being blocked from the VPP app and if I'm not able to push the iOS store app (the non-VPP version) to the device because its using a managed Apple ID?

Ask your company - the IT department will do it for you.

Greetings LVborn,

We’re going to recommend that you reach out to the administrator who manages the device/Apple ID for assistance. If you are the administrator, then connecting with the team who handles Business Manager would be a good option. The following link has a list of Apple’s numbers worldwide - Contact Apple for support and service but you may find starting with this link helpful as well - Contact Apple Support

If you’d prefer, there is a user guide for Apple Business Manager that may shed some light on your situation Apple Business Manager User Guide. You can either search with the search bar, or expand the Table of Contents and look for a subject to start reading more on it.

Thanks.
