What converter do I need.

I have a new studio display with a previous 'dark tower' vertical mac. The mac does not take Thunderbolt. What converter do I need.

Tech specs say it requires MacOS Monterey 12.3 or later and that your Mac Pro is not on the list of compatible computers:

Studio Display - Technical Specifications - Apple

That is inherently a ThunderBolt-3 device. To make the electrical connection if you wanted to try it anyway you would need the Apple ThunderBolt-3 <-> ThunderBolt-2 adapter AND a short genuine ThunderBolt-2 cable.

-OR-

Consider the less demanding LG 4K or 5K display, very similar to the one Apple was selling.
