No you didn't buy extra storage for your phone, as already explained, you can't increase the storage on your phone, it is a fixed size.

You bought iCloud storage, it does not increase storage space on your phone.

You bought a subscription to iCloud+ for extra space on iCloud. You can't add space to your iPhone. See What's the difference between device storage and iCloud storage?
