Line on iPhone screen after latest iOS update

My phone screen and iphone12 was operating perfectly fine before the latest update. I haven’t dropped my phone or anything, it’s in pristine condition. After the latest update, a couple days later I noticed a line on the screen and did reset and it went away. Then a faint line showed up a few days after that and the reset did not get rid of it. But it’s was faint enough that it’s workable. Then now there is a distinct line which won’t go away.

Did the latest update sent a firmware update or a software update to trigger the wrong response?
