I dont seem to have self service app from the spotlight feature on my mac. How do i get it ASAP, as i need it to download an app for my thesis.

What do you mean by “self service app” exactly?
Why does that stop you form downloading apps?
You can use the Mac App Store App or even download the apps directly from their websites.
Can you maybe explain in more detail what issue you are having exactly?
