my iPad Air A1474 model has been dying with 100% battery life showing and when I put it on the charger and it instantly powers back up, showing 100% battery life. It will only run with the power cord but if I watch something it turns off. It’s running iOS 12.5.5

Give how old it is, the battery probably needs to be replaced.
