Is there a way to have the AppleTV only turn on a tv and not a processor?

I have a small home theater in my living room that makes use of an av processor that my AppleTV is connected to. Most of the time I only need sound coming out of the tv and I’ll turn on the receiver when watching movies. Is there a way to have the AppleTV only turn on the tv by default without the processor? Currently the only option is to control “tvs and receivers” but I’d like to only control the tv.

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 15

See if your receiver has CEC settings to turn off. Then it wouldn’t listen to CEC signals from Apple TV about wake|sleep.

I use my AV receiver for all audio from the TV and TV-connected devices. Why settle for lesser audio if you have better available?
