Hey guys
when trying to login with my apple id i enter the code and after that i get the 2fa password via sms
but as you can see below the box where should i put it in never appears
and then i get the error an unknown error occurred
would appreciate any help thanks

Thanks for getting back to us. We'd next suggest starting up in safe mode and trying to sign in again: How to use safe mode on your Mac
"Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed."
