Some of my contacts are blocked I did not block them

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! What happens when you attempt to unblock them? Are you going to Settings > Messages > Blocked Contacts as described in this article: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support to remove them?

Since noticing this, has the device been restarted?

"If you are using an iPhone, you can restart by going the following:

1. Press and Hold either volume button and the side button until the power off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider and wait about 30 seconds. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears to power it back on. Once back on, test to see if this continues. "
