Exporting an edited clip from iMovie privacy

Question about iMovie and editing a movie. If you edit and do things like crop faces and such our of the video for privacy, and then export the movie as a .mp4 or .mov file, when you share the .mp4 file, can someone take that .mp4 file and somehow download into iMovie or another editing software and somehow erase the edits you made on iMovie? In other words, would anyone be able to see what you cropped or edited out originally? Sounds unlikely, but just want to make sure!

Nope- the exported file has been "flattened" and can no longer be imported and edited. It's the same way with picture editing- an exported PNG from Photoshop or equivalent can't have those edits removed.
