Why can't I see the Friday night baseball on my smart tv on apple tv+ but it shows up on my smart phone?

Do you see it on the Sports screen on your Apple TV?

The app is different on many devices. For example, the Apple TV app on Roku is different than the Apple TV app on Amazon Fire.
