How can I see in my Mac the options to correct a misspelled word?

I've owned Apple products for a long time. I currently have an Iphone 11 pro, Ipad 10.5 inch, and even an older iMac desktop from 2014. Yet, I never learned how to master the iMac desktop or it's operating system and software. This is something that I sincerely want to master and will be taking classes to do so. Right now, I'm still trying to learn even some of the basics with my new iMac 24inch and I'm honeslty looking forward to do so. Still, I need help with learning about many of the basic stuff and need help with using the auto correct while typing and misspelling words. I also need help to learn how to choose the options when I've misspelled words or even better, learn how to set up the auto correct. If anyone can give me a little help or advice on how to do so, I'd appreciate it. It would also be helpful is someone might point me in the direction of where I can find ongoing instructions, classes or tutorials for learning how to master imac software systems?

Sincerely,

James M.

Welcome aboard! 🫡

If you are anywhere near an Apple Store … their in-person “Sessions” are hard to beat!

I’ve not used their “since COVID” virtual sessions, but I assume they are equally good.

The sessions are geared specifically to new Apple users trying to “Gain initial traction at the base of the learning curve.”

They are GREAT even for experienced PC users coming from Windows.

You can search the Session calendar at the Apple Store site, but the easiest method is to install and use the Apple Store App.
