Family share

We just purchased an iPhone for my son, who is 11. He is currently set up under my husband‘s family sharing. We want to remove him from my husbands account and add him to my family sharing. I have tried to follow the instructions and invite my son to join mine. He is not allowed to except it because it says he’s already part of a group. There is nowhere on my husbands iCloud to transfer my son to me. Any other suggestions?

You have followed the instruction exactly?

Move a child to another group using Family Sharing - Apple Support

You are in the same country?

You have started a family group already?

Sometimes it helps to have the devices involved take a fresh look at settings:

- Try signing out of accounts and back in again.

- Restarting is a simple step that can resolve many unexpected behaviors.

If a problem persists, particularly over several days, try contacting Apple for assistance:

Click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
